Dear LT Family,

We are so thrilled to announce that we reached our second match.  LT have raised $1 million in aid to Israel, without even counting all the generous contributions our members have made and continue to make directly to Israeli causes!
The need for support is still urgent.  Israel remains at war with the terrorist Hamas organization, there are constant skirmishes with Hezbollah on the Lebanon border in the North with evacuation of many and high alert for all others, and through it all Israel is still dealing with the deaths of 1,400 massacred by Hamas, the injuries and damage caused to many others, and the hostages still held. For all these reasons, we ask the LT community for further contributions to the Larchmont Temple Israel Aid Fund. The funds we raise will be distributed to the following three important causes we identified:
 

• Leket Israel, the National Food Bank, is the leading food rescue organization in Israel. Leket Israel’s sole focus is rescuing healthy, surplus food and delivering it to those in need through partner nonprofit organizations. Leket has been focused on feeding residents of Southern Israel these last few weeks.

• United Hatzala includes a network of more than 6,500 volunteer medics who save lives in Israel year round. Since the early hours of the October 7th attack, United Hatzalah’s medical teams have worked tirelessly in close collaboration with the IDF medical corps and Special Tactics Rescue Unit 669, performing rescues under heavy fire from Hamas terrorists and swiftly transporting hundreds of severely injured patients to hospitals.

• Lastly we will support the communities of Southern Israel/surrounding Gaza through UJA’s Israel Emergency Fund
