Subscribing vs Importing Explained

Subscribing to a calendar is what most people want to do most of the time. It displays the selected LT calendar entries on your own calendar(s). When there are changes or additions made to the LT calendar, those changed and added events will update in your own calendar(s), usually within a day or so of the change being made. It is also easy to “unsubscribe” from the LT calendar and remove it, which you will need to do if you want to make changes to which LT events are being shown. However, you cannot edit entries in a subscribed calendar, for example you could not to change the event title and/or add specific info into an event entry.

Importing calendar entries is making a one-time copy of the selected LT calendar entries and then adding them to your own personal calendar. You will then be able to make changes to the copied events, like changing the event title or including specific additional info. However, once the copy is made there is no longer any connection between the main LT calendar and your copied entries, meaning that your calendar will not be automatically updated as LT events change or are added. In addition, depending on how you imported the entries, it may be hard to remove them all at once, for example if you wanted to make changes to which LT events are being shown. For this reason, we recommend subscribing rather than importing, unless you are only intending to bring over a few specific LT entries and/or want to be able to edit them.
